Personalizing your lessons
Whether your goal is to explore developing a new hobby, re-awaken a dormant skill or advance your already solid musical abilities, having a mentor in this process can be super helpful. The most important thing is to find someone who connects with you personally and can adapt their teaching methods to your learning style.

Depending on your skill level and goals (or those of your kids), your path could be similar to mine or you might prefer something more structured. The important thing is for us to talk about your ambitions so I can approach our time together in a way that works best for you.
As for my own personal style, I tend to lean away from the “traditional method” of teaching. My earliest teachers taught me the “rote method” before I ever looked at sheet music, and I loved this approach. Later on, I was introduced to the “Contemporary method” and this became my favorite way to learn and teach.
